Running

What’s on my Ipod?!

Headphones in, world off, beast mode on.”

A playlist can make or break your run sometimes. Fun little fact about me is that I listen to more slow songs when I run than fast songs. I may be the only one but listening to a song that is screaming or the beat has too much going on, it gives me a headache.  Plus, when you feel the song, your cadence is more on point, and that’s what I go for!

Currently these are some of the songs rockin’ my long runs:

  1. Into Your Arms – Capital Kings
  2. The Hills – The Weeknd
  3. Like a Wrecking Ball – Eric Church
  4. Here – Alessia Cara
  5. Powerful – Major Lazer
  6. I’m Already Gone – A Day To Remember
  7. Boy That You Drew – Steve Moakler
  8. Don’t Judge Me – Chris Brown
  9. Break Up in a Small Town – Sam Hunt
  10. All Bad – Justin Bieber
  11. Never Give a Fxck – Rob Bailey & The Hustle Standard
  12. Tonight Looks Good on You – Jason Aldean
  13. We’re Doing It – Rob Bailey & The Hustle Standard
  14. Bad Intentions – Niykee Heaton
  15. Three Cheers for Five Years – Mayday Parade
  16. Stay High (Habits Remix) – Tove Lo
  17. Let Me Be Myself – 3 Doors Down
  18. 5:19 – Matt Wertz
  19. Simple Things (remix) – Miguel ft. Chris Brown
  20. Calabria 2007 – Enur ft. Natasja

Variety is good but trust me I have more Sam Hunt and others on my playlist than anyone should. Listen to what you’re body needs that day. Sometimes I need more country in my run or sometimes I need more up beat songs to get my energy levels up.

Just get out and run 🙂

  1. I really enjoy country and some slower songs too. The rage and screaming do nothing for me lol My current favorite song is ‘Overwhelmed’ by Big Daddy Weave. It’s so uplifting and powerful!
